Danda is a form of ancient Vyayama  designed to improve physical strength, flexibility, and posture, and enhance mental awareness.  The moves may look simple, but they take a lot of precision and control. It’s not like doing a bunch of crunches. There’s a strong emphasis on technique.

Danda’s main focus is on core however, you can expect to see strength gains in your arms and legs.The  Positions and movements used to activate core rely on extremities to control & or apply loads to the core and likewise will benefit from Danda’s.

There are 70 to 80 forms of Danda. Get your flow on in this dynamic practice that links movement and breath together. In most classes, you won’t linger long in each pose and the pace can be quick, so be prepared for your heart  rate to rise.
